For over twenty years, Johanne Lacombe has been actively involved in her community. Her professional journey has enabled her to develop recognized expertise in management, governance, and teamwork. She currently serves as President of the Conseil des écoles catholiques du centre-est, while also contributing at both the provincial and national levels to the advancement of the education sector.
Over the years, she has served on numerous boards of directors, including those of Desjardins, Ottawa Community Housing, La Cité Foundation, the Local Health Integration Network, as well as other organizations dedicated to community development and the common good.
Her career path has allowed her to gain in-depth knowledge of leadership functions across diverse fields such as education, economics, business, community services, and the environment. She holds a double bachelor’s degree in sociology and communication, as well as an Executive MBA, all from the University of Ottawa.
Johanne recently accompanied her father through his end-of-life journey—an experience that deeply heightened her awareness of the dignity and well-being of individuals in palliative care. She now wishes to bring this experience and her commitment to the vital mission of the Hospice Care Ottawa organization.
