Francophone Services (Maison de l’Est)

Maison de l’Est is a 8-suite francophone hospice residence providing 24-hour end-of-life palliative care in a peaceful, home-like environment where individuals and families could receive compassionate, culturally respectful care in French.

This important initiative strengthened Hospice Care Ottawa’s commitment to the Franco-Ontarian community by honouring the language, culture, and traditions of those we serve. The opening of Maison de l’Est was made possible through years of advocacy, dedication, and support from our volunteers, donors, partners, and community members who helped bring this vision to life.

Do you have a patient with a diagnosis of a life-limiting illness, who is within the last days to weeks of life, and requires 24-hour care? You may wish to consider Hospice Residence Care. Hospice Care Ottawa has hospice residence beds in three locations in Ottawa where a multidisciplinary team provide physical, emotional, and spiritual support.
