Francophone Services (Maison de l’Est)

Services for Francophones throughout our community and a new 8-suite residence for people in need of 24-hour palliative care.

Introducing the new Maison de l’Est, an expansion of our Francophone services that now includes an 8-suite hospice residence for 24-hour end-of-life palliative care. The new site offers a peaceful and comforting home-like environment while providing the highest-quality care to individuals with a life-limiting illness and their families.

This initiative enhances our commitment to the Franco-Ontarian community and their care needs by honouring the language, culture, and traditions. This milestone launch is the direct result of years of hard work and advocacy by our supporters and volunteers.

Maison de l’Est is open to all, reflecting our mission of inclusive care. We will be accepting patients starting Spring 2024. 

Your gift will help provide compassionate programs and services, at no charge, to Francophone individuals with a life-limiting illness on their palliative and end-of-life journey, and their families.

By helping us reach our annual goal of $300,000 extra for Francophone services and Maison de l’Est, you will be enhancing the quality of life of those we serve, and for recognizing the value of hospice care in our community.

Do you have a patient with a diagnosis of a life-limiting illness, who is within the last days to weeks of life, and requires 24-hour care? You may wish to consider Hospice Residence Care. Hospice Care Ottawa has hospice residence beds in three locations in Ottawa where a multidisciplinary team provide physical, emotional, and spiritual support.
