Jocelyne Contant, now retired, has worked in the Champlain region health sector for 40 years. Having provided nursing care at hospital bedsides, she was the first chief executive officer of the Eastern Counties’ Community Care Access Centre. Jocelyne has also held senior management responsibilities in a Long Term Care Home, at the Eastern Counties’ District Health Council and the Champlain Local Health Integration Network. She was the founding Executive Director of the Champlain Regional Hospice Palliative Care Program. Also, she taught at Algonquin College in the nursing education program and at the University of Ottawa, Interdisciplinary School of Health Sciences.
She has been on the Board of Directors of the Réseau de services de santé en français de l’Est de l’Ontario and of the OutCare Foundation as well has served on the United Way Ottawa’s Community Investment Committee.
Jocelyne has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, a Master in Health Administration and a CHE (Certified Health Executive) designation from the Canadian College of Health Leaders.
