Volunteer
Hospice Care Ottawa (HCO) is only able to provide the support and services to our community due to the generosity of our dedicated volunteers.
We are currently accepting applications for:
Client Care Volunteers (Residence, In Home Support) Requires 30 hour training. Click here to see upcoming training details.
Reception Desk Volunteers for 6 pm to 9 pm shifts (greatest need weekends)
Kitchen Volunteers 9 am to 1 pm on Tues and Wed. at both sites and Thursdays MCH only
Soup Volunteer(s) 9 am to 11 am on Sundays and Mondays MCH only
Needs are for both Ruddy-Shenkman (RSH) and May Court Hospice (MCH) unless otherwise specified.

Please note that all volunteers are required to have received a minimum of two COVID vaccines. Volunteers who provide services directly to hospice clients receive 30 hours of specialized training which is offered in the spring and fall of each year.
