Virtual Hike for Hospice Care Ottawa 2022 raises $210,205!!!

Our Virtual Hike for Hospice took place on Sunday, May 1, 2022. This year we had 170 sign up for Hike, including 61 new hikers participating for the first time, and 35 fundraising teams. A special warm welcome and thank you to our new hikers and families.

Though we are disappointed we couldn’t gather together in person again this year, participants rallied, reached out to their networks, and raised funds through their online fundraising page, then chose their own 5km route to Hike safely. We had hikers from across Ottawa, Toronto, Halifax, Wakefield and even Europe, so be sure to check out the photos below.

A heartfelt thank you to our hikers, donors, sponsors and special supporters who provided videos. An extra special thank you to our anonymous donor who generously matched gifts up to $50,000. Together we surpassed our original goal of $170,000 and raised $210,205!

These funds will help provide quality and caring palliative and end-of-life programs and service to people living with a life-limiting illness and their families, at no charge. Special care that is much appreciated.
