Susan Murray

Susan Murray is a former journalist with 25 years of experience in domestic and international reporting.  She has also worked as a government executive, a strategist in international development and as vice-president of the Forest Products Association of Canada.  Her expertise is in communication strategies, government relations and policy and issues management.  Susan was the first woman to win the Charles Lynch Award in recognition of her journalism career. She also won an Asian-Pacific Fellowship which she spent in India focusing on gender issues. 

Susan is also on the Board of Wateraid Canada; she runs a lunch and learn career program at the Youville school for teenage Moms; she is on the management team of Famous Five Ottawa and teaches English to Syrian refugee women.



Avec plus de 25 années d’expérience, Susan Murray est une ancienne journaliste dans le domaine du reportage national et international.  Elle a également travaillé comme cadre gouvernemental, stratège en développement international et a également été la vice-présidente de l'Association des produits forestiers du Canada.  Elle est spécialisée dans les stratégies de communication, les relations gouvernementales et la gestion des politiques et des enjeux.  Susan a été la première femme à recevoir le prix Charles Lynch en reconnaissance de sa carrière de journaliste. Elle a également obtenu une bourse Asie-Pacifique qui lui a permis de séjourner en Inde et s’est concentrée à travailler sur les questions de genre.
​
Susan fait également partie du conseil d'administration de Wateraid Canada ; elle dirige un programme de carrière de type « Déjeune et apprend » à l'école Youville pour les mères adolescentes ; elle fait partie de l'équipe de direction des « Célèbres Cinq » à Ottawa et enseigne l'anglais aux réfugiées syriennes.
