Advocacy
Hospice Care Ottawa is trying to change the provincial funding formula for hospices and we could use your help.
Unlike hospitals, Ontario only funds about 60% of our clinical costs and hospices such as HCO face the arduous task of fundraising the rest to pay nurses and personal support workers. We are expecting a provincial budget in April and we have joined with Hospice Palliative Care Ontario in lobbying the provincial government to change this unfair situation.
