Lynne Toupin |
Lynne has worked as an independent consultant since 2011, providing services to support strategic planning, board governance and facilitation. Currently, she facilitates leadership training programs for senior managers on a part-time basis.
Over the course of her career, Lynne has led and managed a range of non-profit organizations at the national level, such as the National Anti-Poverty Organization, the Canadian Co-operative Association and the HR Council for the Non-profit Sector. During this time, she was also actively involved in a number of initiatives to raise awareness and support the development of the voluntary and non-profit sector in Canada. She has sat on several boards such as l’Université St. Boniface, the Festival du Voyageur and Imagine Canada and currently serves on the board of a small community-based arts organization in Blue Sea, Quebec. Prior to working in the voluntary and non-profit sector, Lynne worked in the field of education in Manitoba as a teacher, school principal, curriculum consultant and Special Assistant to the Minister of Education. Born and raised in Winnipeg, she holds a master’s degree in Education from l’Université de Montréal and a B.A. from the University of Winnipeg. She is fluently bilingual in both official languages and has lived in Ottawa since 1990. Lynne travaille comme consultante indépendante depuis 2011, fournissant des services pour soutenir la planification stratégique, la gouvernance en plus de faire de l’animation de groupes. Actuellement, elle anime des programmes de formation en leadership à temps partiel. Au cours de sa carrière, Lynne a dirigé et géré une gamme d'organisations à but non lucratif au niveau national, telles que l'Organisation nationale anti-pauvreté, l'Association des coopératives du Canada et le Conseil RH pour le secteur bénévole et communautaire. Au cours de cette période, elle a également participé activement à plusieurs initiatives visant à sensibiliser et à soutenir le développement de ce secteur au Canada. Elle a siégé à plusieurs conseils d'administration tels que l'Université de Saint-Boniface, le Festival du Voyageur et Imagine Canada et siège actuellement au conseil d'administration d'un petit organisme artistique communautaire à Blue Sea, au Québec. Avant de travailler dans le secteur des ONGs, Lynne a travaillé dans le domaine de l'éducation au Manitoba en tant qu'enseignante, directrice d'école, consultante en programmes d'études et adjointe spéciale au ministre de l'Éducation. Née et élevée à Winnipeg, elle détient une maîtrise en éducation de l'Université de Montréal et un B.A. de l'Université de Winnipeg. Elle est parfaitement bilingue dans les deux langues officielles et vit à Ottawa depuis 1990. |
