OUR 2024 HOMES

95 CHIPPEWA AVENUE, OTTAWA

decorated by Alta Vista Flowers

This custom home, built in 2020 by Epcon Homes and BGC Construction, is owned by Lino and Nadia Bassi. Located in the St. Claire Gardens area, it offers a modern, sleek design with a focus on quality craftsmanship. The kitchen and all millwork were crafted by Irpinia Kitchens, while countertops were custom fabricated by Stonemason Marble and Granite. The Bassi family, including children Arianna, Martina, and Mila, enjoy the home’s sophisticated yet warm atmosphere, enhanced by Bella Window Designs’ blinds, Rome Flooring’s white oak planks, and elegant Euro Tiles throughout. Dining room and family room furnishings are from My Home in Kanata and Cadieux on Innes Road, respectively. Notable features include a custom wine wall by Wine Cellar Solutions Ottawa and thoughtfully curated lighting fixtures from The Electrical and Plumbing Store.

459 BUENA VISTA ROAD, OTTAWA

This elegant Edwardian-style residence, located in the heart of Rockcliffe, is a stunning blend of timeless sophistication and festive charm. The three-story home boasts classic architectural details, including inlaid oak floors, cove mouldings, and high ceilings, all complemented by period furnishings and captivating artwork. During the holiday season, the house transforms into a whimsical wonderland, adorned with hundreds of Santas, garlands, figurines, and even a life-sized nutcracker, filling every corner with Christmas cheer. While visitors can appreciate the stately grace of this home, its warmth and festive spirit make it an inviting and memorable experience for all who step inside.

161 MANOR AVENUE, OTTAWA

decorated by Capital Florist

Purchased by Marc and Rnea, a principal at Studio Garrah, this 1930s Tudor-style home in Rockcliffe Park underwent an extensive two-year renovation. Originally intended as a partial remodel, the project evolved into a full-scale overhaul, addressing structural and asbestos issues. The house now boasts a hand-chiselled limestone façade, elongated windows, and a new landscape design. Inside, white oak hardwood floors, marble countertops, a walnut-fluted kitchen island, and Thermidor appliances evoke a blend of “old world” charm and modern elegance. Studio Garrah meticulously designed both the architecture and interiors, transforming the home into a modern yet timeless space for the couple to enjoy.

485 BROADVIEW AVENUE, OTTAWA

decorated by Flowers Talk Tivoli

Built in 1914, this Highland Park/McKellar Park residence combines original architectural character with modern amenities. A cedar-ceilinged entry with a mahogany door sets the stage for the home’s charm. Inside, the custom clear maple kitchen features black granite countertops and a large bay window overlooking a pond and waterfall. Detailed mouldings, a granite fireplace, and large windows add warmth, while a winterized sunroom serves as a home office. Surrounded by lush gardens and mature trees on an 80′ x 100′ lot, this home showcases the owners’ appreciation for nature, with ample space for relaxation and reflection.

20 ROBERT KEMP STREET, KEMP PARK

Built in 2018 by Carlo Dinardo of DNC Construction, this 3,700-square-foot bungalow sits on a sprawling half-acre lot, designed to blend timeless architecture with contemporary elements. Architect Elisio Temprano, of Pye & Richards – Temprano & Young Architects Inc., crafted the home’s classic-contemporary feel, highlighted by curved archways, built-in columns, and architectural detailing. The interior, designed by Ramona Helal Interior, features a serene neutral palette that complements the flowing open spaces. Cathedral ceilings soaring over 12 feet, combined with a massive wall of windows, flood the living areas with natural light. A standout feature is the gourmet kitchen by Irpina, showcasing Vienna cabinetry, a large island, and an industrial Dacor 6-burner gas stove. The home’s extensive landscaping, designed by John Szczepaniak, includes an elevated patio, an in-ground swimming pool, and a striking stained-glass fence. The open living room with its stone fireplace is perfect for hosting 50+ guests, creating an inviting and elegant atmosphere for family gatherings and events.
